Hello,...-and Goodbye....

Hi there dear Inkido friends, it's Bente here!
It's with a heavy heart I write this post because it will be my last one here on the Inkido blog and as part of the Inkido DT. I have new adventures on the horizon, but that does not mean I'm not sad to see Inkido close down. Inkido/Papercraft Scandinavia has been part of the Scandinavian scene for around eight years and will surely be missed!

I have made a card that says Hello, when it should really say Goodbye, but hopefully there will be many more chances for all of us to meet in many other places in the vast cyberspace.

And here are a coupole of close ups of my card:

I used the latest and last collection Spring Time for this page and combined with some older papers.

That's all from me!
From now you can find me on my own blog or we will meet somewhere else in cyberspace!
Thank you for your support of Inkido and our design team.
I hope we'll meet again soon!
Hugs!!

Mix of collections with handmade flowers.

 Hello Inkido friends!
I hope you are all well and that you have gotten a lot of lovely pages or cards scrapped lately.
Inkido has a beautiful new collection out called Spring Time, and you can see it HERE.
But today I have a page to share that uses a combination of older collections.

I layered quite a few beautiful patterned papers here and used my sewing machine to add decorative stitching and my punches for a cute border effect. The pretty vintage crochet lace add to the romantic feel of the page.

I used an awesome die by Sizzix called Tattered florals to make the larger flowers. I die cut the different parts from a patterned paper belonging to the X-mas collection. After spraying them with white mist to tone down the pattern there is nothing X-mas about them!! :-)

The Inkido papers have many gorgeous butterfly designs and I love to use fussy cut butterflies on my pages. The trellies pattern is also made using a Sizzix Frameworks die.

I had a beautiful chipboard ring once,...but alas I managed to break it in two,... Here I found a way to put it to good use. :-) I also added some ink drips and splatters for an extra effect.
That was all for today! I hope you enjoyed it.

Enjoy life!

Papers used:
Forever Collection, No 5
Happy Christmas, Christmas Carol
Beautiful Memories, Pink Flowers.
Beautiful Memories Pink memories
Spring Time, Roses of Romance
Scrap, Prick grön

*Time Stood Still* with 'Beautiful memories'.

Hi, it's me, Bente back to share my latest project using beautiful Inkido products.

A while back I went fo lunch with my MIL and daughter to a lovely place outside of the city's hustle and bustle. I got this cute photo of DD with her grandmother.

Mostly the papers here are from the latest collection called Beautiful memories.

I hope you have a lovely day!! :-)

Two pages for July challenges sponsored by Inkido.

Hi, it's me , Bente saying hello to you here on the blog today!
I have a couple of layouts that I'd like to share with you. Both were made for different challenge blogs that Inkido is sponsoring at the moment. So you see there is always a lot of good things happening around our Inkido brand.

The first layout was my example for the July sketch over at OUAS where the Inkido DT is guestdesigning this month.

The second layout I have for you today is the one I made as an example for the Scrap for Help challenge blog. The challenge for July is to use bubblewrap on your layout any way you like.

Of course I used the new 'Beautiful Memories' collection and it turned out like this:

With so many photos I don't think I need to say so much more about these pages. I hope you don't mind this being such a photo-heavy post... I know that when I visit blogs I love  to see lots of close ups myself, and with two pages in this post,...well, that's how it's gotta be :-)

Hugs, and take care 'til next time !

Hello Sunshine.

Hi, Bente here today to share a steaming new lo with you with the glue just about dry!
I have made so many pink romantic layouts lately that I felt like making a different kind today. Conveniently I had a couple of photos laying on my desk from when my youngest sister and her family was visiting here. So I did a boy page,...( still with flowers mind you ;-) )

And here are some shots of the details:

I decided I wanted to try a different combo. Normally I might still have combined the blue with pink or white or something. Instead I decided to use some of those tan coloured leaves and flowers I received in my latest Inkido kit. I think they work pretty well with the boyish blue.

Those cute butterflies that I don't seem to ever get enough of, are cut from an Inkido paper and they really have so many that are great for fussy cutting if you are into that.

The woodgrain in the background was done using a bought mask.
If you still have not tried let me tell you it is so very easy and you could start trying with a mask that  you make yourself, or maybe a leftover from a chipboard sheet.
I promise you it is great fun!!

Finally, there is a sprinkling of half pearls in the right hand corner. The three colors come from the same package. I think they look so pretty and add an extra dimension to the page.

A card for a friend

Hi it's me Bente,
I was well way on the way not to post today. But with a nice daughter sharing her internet from her mobile with the family PC I managed to get online! Here I am!

Idag var det nära att det inte blev någon post. Men nu har mellandottern kommit hem och var snäll nog att dela sitt mobila internet med familje PC'n så det löste sig till slut!

I made a card for a friend of mine 'just because' and I used some of my beautiful Inkido papers and flowers for it:

Jag gjorde detta kortet till en vän ' bara därför att...' och jag plockade bland mina fina Inkido papper och blommor till det:

I coloured the pretty butterflies with a marker to make them a better colour with the pink tones.
Here's a close up too:

Jag färglade fjärillarna med en penna för att de skulle passa bättre i färgen till de rosa tonerna.
Här får du en närmare titt:

Here are some of the products I used:

Här är några av produkterna jag har använt:

Dreams - Beige Star 12x12 (25)

Small Hortensia

Gardenia

Hugs, and I hope you have a lovely week ahead!
Kram kram och hoppas veckan blir jättebra!!

Flowers for Mum.

Hi, today it's me, Bente back to blog my latest Inkido layout.
I mostly used the very latest collection called 'Beautiful Memories 2' for this project.

This is it:
I love the way that lovely green paper combines with the pink dotted one. I am very fond of polka dots and think they do a lot to 'pretty up' a page.

Here is a closer look at ome of the sweet embellishments. That large red rose is very yummy.

I just love those pretty fussy cut butterflies. Inkido has them on many patterned papers to cut out
and use on your pages. I added a bling stone to each as well.

I built up the page starting with five pennants going down from the top in the colours pink and green.
I matted with some cheesecloth on top and drybrushed over most of my page using white gesso.
After decorating around the photo most of the cheesecloth is hidden but still peeks out a little here and there. To finish off the page I cut an arrow and did it in two layers using popdots in between. That way I ended up with a layered title that stands out a little more.

Finally a closer look at my little sweetie who was waiting for me at the gate with snowdrops as I arrived home. <3

Thanks for taking the time to visit Inkido today!!
Hugs!

'The Week End'

Hi it's me, Bente again to share a lo with you this beautiful Sunday morning.
I love my Inkido papers and am always looking forward to using them on my layouts together with plenty of flowers.

Todays layout is no exception. I have used flowers, gesso,. mists, gems, and paints on this one to create this soft feminine, rather shabby look that I like. I have distressed all my papers  and stitched them to the page using my sewing machine.

I used the latest sketch from Once Upon a Sketch as a base for my page.

I used a heart shaped doily as a base for my title. Those bling stones by Inkido add such a lovely shine and they do them in all kinds of colours. The cute butterfly was cut from one of the papers.

A little closer look at the central part of the layout.

And here is a closie of the stitched banners.

Here are some of the beautiful Inkido products I have used:

That's all for today.I hope you enjoyed my page!
