Two Love Tags + Tutorial by Romy Veul

Hi there!

It's Romy here today and I'm sad to say that this will be my last post on the Inkido blog. I really enjoyed working with the gorgeous Inkido collections and will miss this wonderful group of talented artists.
To say goodbye to this wonderful company I would like to show you two love tags today. I also did a short photo tutorial on how to make them.

Let's start with the first tag, which I made with the gorgeous Beautiful Memories collection...

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Beautiful Memories - Butterfly Borders
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Grey

Step-by-step tutorial:

1. To make this tag I first cut out a tag from patterned paper and cardstock with a Tim Holtz die.

2. I then adhered a strip of the Blue Butterflies paper on top of the tag and also adhered two chipboard borders to it. All the edges were inked with brown distress ink.

3. I then attached a clipboard chipboard piece to the tag with foamape.

4. I further embellished my tag by adhering three smaller chipboard pieces on top of the clipboard. I also added a resin cherub for a romantic touch.

5. To finish off my tag I added four cut out butterflies, seam binding and a few pearls.

My second tag was made in a rather similar way. The design is almost the same; I just used some other embellishments on this tag.

I hope you enjoyed my post on the Inkido blog today!
I would like to thank Inkido for this wonderful journey and I would also like to thank you, our blog readers, for your visits to and comments on the blog! They are very much appreciated!

Hugs,
Romy

Two Butterfly Tags

Hi there!

Do you love making tags? I actually fell in love with tags only about one year ago and have been hooked to them ever since. I like their unique shape and find that they make a nice alternative for cards. Today I have two tags to share that I made with the gorgeous Beautiful Memories collection, together with a bunch of fussy cut butterflies.

My first tag is a pink one that was made with some of the soft and vintage inspired papers from the Beautiful Memories collection. Of course I also couldn't resist adding some punching and die-cutting.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Pink Flowers
Beautiful Memories - Pink Babies
Beautiful Memories - Pink Memories
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Borders

This tag consists of different layers of paper, of which some are die-cut or punched. I then embellished it with chipboard swirls, a resin fairy, a chipboard heart and some cut out butterflies.

My second tag features a more masculine blue and brown colour scheme. I used the beautiful blue butterflies as my starting point and then started picking papers to make my tag base with different layers of paper.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Borders
Beautiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Beautiful Memories - Blue Labels
Forever Summer - Turquoise Bird

To make the frame in the center of my tag I took a chipboard frame and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then attached a resin heart and a chipboard heart to its center. After that I added a few fussy cut butterflies to enhance the frame.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post today and that I inspired you to also start making Inkido tags.

Thank you so much for your visit to the Inkido blog today!

Bird Tags

Hi!
Did you see our new papers already?

You can win one sat if you will visit us on Facebook page, more infor there;

I really love birds! You can find different birds on Inkido papers! Today I have created two large tags. It´s fun to do cards in different shapes and these will fit both as cards or hanging on presents.

For my first tag I cut out four birds with a circle punch. I was inspirerd by the colors from the birds and picked out some embillishments that fitted nicelly.

I like the contrasts between the romantic Roses and the tougher hamp string and corrugated star.

For my next tag I used a little bit larger picture in gorgeous colors.

On my lace I attached cute hearts to make it really romantic.

For my tags I have used following products from Inkido:

Roses Yellow
Roses Brown
Yellow Rose Buds
Lace Green
Lace White
Hearts White
Corrugated Star
Hamp String
Valentine Old Pink Lyrics
Autumn Wardrobe Tuva Satin Green
Beautiful Memories Beautiful Pink
Beautiful Memories Green Memoris

GD Dana!

Hi! My name is Dana Tatar and I'm thrilled to be an Inkido Guest Designer! I live in the U.S. in the sunny state of Florida with my husband and two daughters. I started scrapbooking to preserve memories after the birth of my first daughter almost 7 years ago and now I enjoy the creative outlet.

I love to mix products from different collections on my projects and I frequently find inspiration in music, poetry and pop culture. I love fussy cutting and flowers and both can be seen on the majority of my projects. My dominant scrappy styles are clean and simple and pretty chic, but I do like to mix things up a bit, depending on the paper or photos I want to use. I'm an active blogger and I like to share my tips and ideas. I create a little of everything, including layouts, cards, tags, artist trading cards, arches and small gift and home decor items.

When I'm not scrapping, I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, listening to music and spending time outdoors with my family and basset hound.

I'm looking forward to sharing my work with you today! I've created a layout and two tags with papers from the stunning Beautiful Memories II collection.
The star pattern and soft yellow color on the Yellow Flowers patterned paper made me think of a lullaby and a favorite photo of my sister and her daughter. I added more stars to my page with a stencil and molding paste. I punched a star pattern into a piece of vellum for use as a photo mat and sprinkled some of the star punch-outs around my page.
I cut an image from the Blue Labels patterned paper. The birthday sentiment was perfect for this page! I framed my photo with soft pastel flowers and ribbon and some butterflies that I cut from the Yellow Butterflies patterned paper.

I created a pair of tags using the Blue Flowers, Blue Memories and Blue Labels patterned papers. I think the bird and floral images in this line are so beautiful and I wanted to create something special with them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I love visitors, so please stop by my blog, They Call Me Tatar Salad!

LAYOUT BY GD DANA was removed due to publication in 2014!
Congratulations  Dana, we are so happy for you!

Thank you so much  for your beautiful projects !
