This time I want to show you a card inspired by all the soft colors in the picture for Inkido's January challenge. Peace with Guest Designer Tara Orr

Greetings again Inkido fans!! It is FINALLY December!! The holiday season is fast approaching and I have sooo many more things to do - EEK!!  Thankfully, my crafty time helps me to slow down and refocus on the important things in my life; the calm, peaceful moments that are often missed in our haste to complete a million tasks on our to do lists.
I created this layout featuring a photo of two of my little ones in full on snuggle mode (a RARE sighting for sure!)  The papers are from the Happy Christmas Collection which I adore!  SO versatile and perfectly suited for my shabby, vintage scrapping style.
I inked the edges of each of the Inkido flowers to help them pop a little more against the otherwise monochromatic tones in this project.  I also tucked in some darker toned petals within the white bloom to add a little dimension.  Did you notice the Inkido packaging behind my photo!?

I added a few things of my own as well like the crochet doilies, newsprint and a few other blooms I had in my stash.  Love how the different textures (wood, paper, flowers, bling, lace) and multiple layers add to the overall shabby feel of this project.

Thank you so much for your visit today!  I'll be back again next week with another festive project to share with you all!! Have a great week.

I Adore You, Inkido guesting at CSI challenge blog.

Today I have a quick share for you that I made as part of the Inkido guest stint at CSI challenge blog.

And here is a little more about the challenge:

To read the small print go HERE

I thought I'd share a few close ups of my page as well:

I started by picking out the Inkido papers that went the best with the colours of the combo.
I had an image in my head that I wanted to use the 'velvet bookmarks' as my main inspiration from the photo.

I think almost verything here except the music-paper, the swirl and a flower is from Inkido.

I quite like the weave-effect here. Of course it doesn't photograph so well and looks better IRL.

I hope you enjoyed my contribution to the CIS challenge and maybe feel a little inspired to take part!!
This is the awesome prize you could win, from INKIDO:

It's the new Christmas collection.

Hugs!!

Inkido guest appearance at Scrap Around the World.

The DT of Inkido was graciously invited to interpret the recent mood board at
This is my interpretation of this fun challenge:

And here is a picture of the mood board
Isn't it just gorgeous?!!

Here are a few close ups of my page. I started out taking inspiration from the stripes (background sheet), the words 'flying' out from the head (my butterflies), the large title (also a quote) and the black and white photo of a person.
I also did a loose interpretation of the available sketch, picking just a few  of the elements.

I fussy cut a lot of tiny flowers from one of the sheets in the 'Beautiful Memories' collection.
I believe they are poppies.

I picked Inkido's  small butterfly stamp  and combined with some other butterflies that I cut out. They were all embellished with some bling and pearl stones. Inkido do these in several colours and they are so great to add to all kinds of projects.

I find the internet is such a great source when you are searching for various inspiration, and for this challenge I decided I needed a good quote. This was just one of several quotes that I found.

After cutting out the words with my Silhouette Cameo I backed them with pink paper, except for the words black and white that I wanted to stand out against the background.
As you can see from this close up I also added some freestyle sewing with my machine. I find it adds a lot of interest without being intrusive or  taking anything away from the design.

Thanks for checking out my page today. :-)
There is still a lot of time to take part in the challenge at SATW, or why not Sabrinas September challenge here at Inkido to use layers and borders?

GD Irit and her two new projects

Hi!
Today we have our "old" GD again, welcome Irit!

My name is Irit and I am from sunny Israel. In my real life I am a working dentist, mother of four grown- ups and a grandma of one adorable baby boy. But on my spare time I am a craft addict and the empty nest helps it a lot. I am a very versatile crafter: I scrap, make cards, love to make an altered art, stamp, make Mixed Media art and everything in between. For the last 3 years I designed for a lot of industry companies, such as Cherry Lynn, Epiphany Crafts, Best Creations and much more. Right now I design for Inspired by Stamping, 100 Proof Press, WOW! Embossing Powders, Tando Creative, A2Z Scraplets and FabScraps and it's all over 4 different continents. I also am a staff member for Scrapbooking. Com WEB magazine and my work was published in USA and UK few print magazines. Lately I was invited to be a guest designer for a few more companies for the rest of the year. You are most welcome to visit my blog here:
I am thrilled to be Inkido guest designer and so much hope you all like my work.
to crafting since I was a little girl. Today I mostly scrap and do altered art, and I stamp a lot. I design for other

Another  project as Inkido guest designer is this altered chipboard tray that was so great with Inkido images. It's a very simply altered project: just cut some Inkido paper for the backing, add 4 Angel images, cut out some roses from another paper and add one cut out double layered butterfly. The saying was made with small word stickers and it says "Remember secrets, dream magic" and fits those magical images a lot.

Pink Butterflies-

This page is the only one I made in a real vintage style as I used my own real vintage sepia photo. So I made it almost monochromatic, with a bit of pinks only and used a big matting cluster under the photo.
I made a lot of hand cutting from those Inkido gorgeous papers and made some die cutting with one single piece of cardstock (the round title, the title strip and the fence under the cluster); I also made die cut doilies with Inkido papers and arranged them around the page. Some blings and some black paint drops were my final touch for this page.
