August Sketch Challenge - Kelly

Hi everyone! Kelly here.
A new month, already? Well that means a new challenge here at Inkido.
This month we have a wonderful sketch from our very own Ulrika...
I have chosen to play with her gorgeous sketch and here is what I came up with...

I chose "older" papers, one from the first Beautiful Memories, and another, the Blue Dots paper, so pretty and neutral and perfect for my mixed media explosion!
To brighten up the Grey Butterflies paper, I randomly painted the butterflies with various green/blue shades of Shimmerz Paints.

Thank you for taking a look today, I do hope you will give the sketch a go, it is a great one!!

A Layout & Tag - with Kelly

Hi everyone!! Kelly here. I have a little inspiration to share based on our July "Blue and Yellow" challenge. I hope you will play along, too..there are 3 prize packs to be won this month!!!

"Exploration"

I was of course, inspired by the blue and yellow colors and the flowers in the challenge photo. I used Beautiful Memories II for this layout..starting with a white cardstock base which I stamped with my favorite Inkido stamp, did some masking and a bit of watercolor painting.

Below, flowers of course, and leaves. The large tan leaves are Inkido, and the smaller ones I hand cut from the Inkido Harmony Flowers packaging! So easy, and so cute!

Below..one of the stunning Harmony Flowers, I just love it!

Up next, a pretty little tag I created.
I created the background of this tag using some old product packaging, which I then stamped and embossed in gold with my favorite Inkido stamp. I then also stamped with pink. I repeated this process on my chipboard hot air balloon. Here is what the stamp looks like:

Collage stamp: I denna ljuva (5)

I delicately embellished with fussy cut butterflies, lace, Tiffany Jewels, and stick pins. This would make a perfect wedding card/tag.
Below you can see I also did some light stamping on the large butterfly, along with a touch of liquid pearls and a small yellow rose.

Thank you for having a look!! I do hope to see you take part in our challenge this month, there is still lots of time!

Two pages for July challenges sponsored by Inkido.

Hi, it's me , Bente saying hello to you here on the blog today!
I have a couple of layouts that I'd like to share with you. Both were made for different challenge blogs that Inkido is sponsoring at the moment. So you see there is always a lot of good things happening around our Inkido brand.

The first layout was my example for the July sketch over at OUAS where the Inkido DT is guestdesigning this month.

The second layout I have for you today is the one I made as an example for the Scrap for Help challenge blog. The challenge for July is to use bubblewrap on your layout any way you like.

Of course I used the new 'Beautiful Memories' collection and it turned out like this:

With so many photos I don't think I need to say so much more about these pages. I hope you don't mind this being such a photo-heavy post... I know that when I visit blogs I love  to see lots of close ups myself, and with two pages in this post,...well, that's how it's gotta be :-)

Hugs, and take care 'til next time !

Hello Sunshine.

Hi, Bente here today to share a steaming new lo with you with the glue just about dry!
I have made so many pink romantic layouts lately that I felt like making a different kind today. Conveniently I had a couple of photos laying on my desk from when my youngest sister and her family was visiting here. So I did a boy page,...( still with flowers mind you ;-) )

And here are some shots of the details:

I decided I wanted to try a different combo. Normally I might still have combined the blue with pink or white or something. Instead I decided to use some of those tan coloured leaves and flowers I received in my latest Inkido kit. I think they work pretty well with the boyish blue.

Those cute butterflies that I don't seem to ever get enough of, are cut from an Inkido paper and they really have so many that are great for fussy cutting if you are into that.

The woodgrain in the background was done using a bought mask.
If you still have not tried let me tell you it is so very easy and you could start trying with a mask that  you make yourself, or maybe a leftover from a chipboard sheet.
I promise you it is great fun!!

Finally, there is a sprinkling of half pearls in the right hand corner. The three colors come from the same package. I think they look so pretty and add an extra dimension to the page.
