Lovely GD Iris Babao Uy!

Hi!
It's Bellaidea today with one of my favorite scrappy friends, Iris!
I invited Iris to GD for us some time ago and I was very happy she wanted to do it.

I am a scrapper from The Philippines, a wife and a mother to two sweet girls Nicole and Cheska. I rarely plan my pages – I let a photo or a patterned paper inspire me and I take it from there. I love the shabby chic and romantic style but I also enjoy working with bold patterns and striking colors. I’m an ink and paint type of person. I just have to get it a little messy to consider my page done. If I don’t have ink and paint on hand, then I just tear little bits of elements and stick it randomly for the sheer fun of it
I am fortunate to be designing for Webster’s Pages and Blue Fern Studios. I was also named as one of the first two Prima Masters. I am also currently a designer Aussie Scrapsource (wholesale store) and The Color Room challenge blog. I am also an endorsed teacher for both Webster’s Pages and BasicGrey. I teach workshops both in Asia and Europe. My work can be seen in craft books as well as craft magazines such as Creating Keepsakes and the like.

I think she liked GD parcel a lot because after short time I got this beautiful layout from her.

Her second layout is all about her  little girl, Cheska .
 Inkido stamps and flowers are just perfect there!

Vintage inspired card

Hope you've got your hands on some gorgeous papers from the Beautiful Memories collection :)

My last project presented here was a shabby style, soft and pink - this time I have something vintage inspired, using another part of this beautiful line.
In a card like this one, with many layers, you can really make use of the last pieces and scraps of your favorite papers.

The rose image which is a central piece here, I have embossed with 3 layers of UTEE and kept in the freezer for 10 min or so. After taking out, it's very easy to break the surface which creates the crackle effect, and adds even more vintage character :)

My Inkido Premiere!

Idag är det mitt premiärinlägg som ny designer här hos Inkido! Det är både lite pirrigt och oerhört roligt! För någon vecka sedan fick jag hem den nya vackra kollektionen Beutiful Memories i min brevlåda och det är den jag skapat med idag!

Today it´s my premiere blogpost as a new designer here at Inkido! It is both a bit nervous and really fun at the same time! A few weeks ago I got the very new and gorgeous collection Beutiful Memories in my mailbox. This is the collection I have been working on today.

 

Min sida handlar om en dag i somras. Det var dags att sluta med napp och bli en stor kille. Han ville, som många andra barn där vi bor, lämna dem hos kattungarna på Skansen.

 

My page is about a special summerday 2012. It was time for my boy to give his pacifiers up and be a big boy. Many children leave them with the kittens at Skansen were we live. 

 

 

Jag har stansat olika doilys och ramar och lagt flera olika lager bakom mitt foto.

 

I have layered die-cuts and frames behind my photo.

 

 

Jag klippte till en tag ur pappret Pink Memories och sydde runt den.

 

From the paper Pink Memoris I cut out a Tag and then I used my sewing machine around the edges.

 

 

Massor av härliga blommor tillsammans! De stora lyxiga blommorna heter Harmony Flowers och finns i flera olika färger att köpa.

 

Lots of gorgeous flowers together! The large luxury flowers are called Harmony Flowers and aviable in several colors.

 

Jag älskar att sprinkla mina layouter med pärlor och bling! Inkido har superfina stora förpackningar med just detta. På min sida har jag använt de som heter Pärlor Mix Rosa.

 

I love to sprinkle my pages with pearls and rhinestones! Inkido have really nice and large packages of those. On my page I have used the one called Pearls Mix Pink.

So Special...

I am delighted to be here sharing my first post as a DT member here at Inkido.

I really love the look of the new collection and am looking forward to making many pretty layouts with it. But today I want to share a page that I made before 'Beautiful Memories' was released.

Inkido has so many papers that can easily be combined with each other and the combination I chose here actually belong to two different collections.

Here is a close up of my snow flakes I have embellished with some of the pink 'bling-stones'

 I wanted to add more texture to the paper I had cut into a circle, so I stitched a grid and added dots of liquid pearl.

 Is there a prettier sight I wonder than a page overflowing with pretty blooms...?

Inkido has plenty of them and I will show you some pictures in a minute.

 To make my embelllishments stand out I pleated a paper strip and used it underneath my embellishment clusters. Never mind the fact that I almost covered it up entirely.

The effect is still there.
