Angel Journal Page

Hello and happy start of the new week.   Jennifer Snyder here today to share my angel journal page.

Some times when I just want to play around with some new colors or new mists, I'll use my journal book.   This time I was playing with Inkido papers and mist color combinations.

Here are some of the products I chose:
My background was from the Autumn Friendship Collection -  Mathea Royal Petrol
From there, I added some of these products:

I used a little jewelry wire in my piece because I liked the pop of teal to match my pretty Inkido leaf pins.

I also really adore the sweet angels from the Beautiful Memories collection shown in the products above.  The are the perfect size for creating cards, tags or large projects.

Here is a better image to show you the pretty leaf pins and the pretty Inkido flowers.

Thanks so much for sharing your time with Inkido and me.

Vintage Rose Garden (Step by Step with Jennifer)

Happy Monday.  If Monday is not your favorite day of the week, then I offer you a wonderful bouquet of flowers Inkido style just to cheer you.

Today I want to show you the wonderful stamp I received in addition to the gorgeous papers and embellishments.

This is Vintage Rose Garden.   I received the most wonderful Inkido stamps in the mail and had to make them the focus of this project.  Gosh I love stamps and the Inkido stamps are magnificent.

Here are some of the Inkido products I used and a little tutorial to follow.

Step 1.  To create my vintage feel and look, I need to ink the edges of my background paper.  I used some light brown here and rub on the edges.

Step 2.  I want to tone down the background paper a little so that my photo image and stamped images are more noticeable.  I use a sponge brush and paint little gesso lightly over my page.  I actually do this often when my background paper is "busier" than I prefer or than I need.

Step 3.  If my gesso is  heavy or I applied too much, I will thin out by spraying some water right onto the page.  Then use my fingertips in a circular fashion to blend in and thin the gesso.   This technique also takes away any harsh lines created by the gesso - makes then soft and blended.

Step 4.  Rip a piece of  Beautiful Memories Butterfly Border paper as a photo matte.

Step 5.  Now to have fun with the Inkido stamps.  I stamped the Summar Collage K stamp onto cardstock and then colored with Distress markers - that's what I have available.

Step 6.   Start building your layers and gluing them down.

Step 7.  Ink the edges of the paper flowers to give them some definition and make them look a little more aged.

Step 8.  Cut out some butterflies from the Beautiful Memories Butterfly Border paper.  As you are cutting, make sure to cut some butterfly antennas.  I will color my antennas in with a black marker.

Step 9.  Complete with your favorite Inkido laces, trims, flowers , leaves, and decorative pins.   You can see the adorable little leaf pins in the following two photos that help complete my Inkido flower cluster.

Here is a better close up of the leaf pins.

Butterflies and Angels

Hello - Happy Monday.  Jennifer Snyder here to show you how I used the Beautiful Memories collection for a little angelic grunge.

Here are some of the amazing Inkido products I used.

I started the project using the Beautiful Beige paper as my background then added mists. It's always a little scary for me to mist on my pretty papers for fear I am not happy with the results.  But in all honesty, I tested my color combo out on a scrap piece of paper first.

After the misting, I added my layers and then moved on to embellish.

I also took a stamp and added some stamping to the wonderful Inkido Fashion Blooms -in Blue.

My piece also has chipboard painted white and topped with moulding paste for texture.  I completed the project with Inkido pearls here and there, some Inkido lace and butterflies cut form the Beautiful Grey paper.

In addition to the papers, here are a few of the other gorgeous Inkido products I used:

Thanks for looking.  Enjoy your Monday and check back during the week to see what everyone else has created.

Vintage Canvas - Two and Three

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here today to continue with my mini vintage canvas set.   The first vintage canvas can be found here. Today, I show you Canvas Two and Three in my set.

Vintage Canvas Two
Here is my second project for Inkido - it's actually a continuation of a canvas set I created using the new collection, Inkido Beautiful Memories Collection.    This post shows number two and three to complete the mini canvas set.

These all started off as white canvas, but after adding a layer of gesso, and some ink around the edges, it started to take shape as the vintage style piece I had envisioned.

The top decorative piece is a Christmas ornament that I bought from clearance.

I used the Inkido Beautiful Memories Collection, Beige Flowers paper as my inspiration for colors and style. It was really hard to pick with tag to use form the beautiful  Beige Flowers paper, because they are all so pretty.

In the photo below, you can see that I embellished the Inkido tag by adding some mini floral berries and  some flowers cut from the Inkido Butterflies and Borders

I used the Copper Metal Ornament and cut it in half to use as a vase.  I rubbed a little gold leaf wax over it to give it a nice rich golden glow to match my canvas topper.  I also wanted  to bring out the gold tones in the paper.  I wove some gold fibers around the piece to jazz it up a bit.

Look at these gorgeous butterflies and borders?  This is the Butterflies  Borders.

Here are some of the other wonderful Inkido pieces I used.

Vintage Canvas Three
This is the third Canvas of the set.

Here are some of the wonderful Inkido products I used on this canvas:

I also used some little bronze Inkido butterfly charms and rubbed them with Rub N' Buff - Gold leaf, then topped with Inkido  rhinestones with Rub N Buff on them.
