'You are my Jewels' Layout by Helen Tilbury {based on the March 2014 Mood Board}

Hi again everyone!  HELEN back with you today, sharing my
layout for the month, based on the March mood board.

Just look at all those beautiful precious & semi-precious
gem stones.  So much inspiration & so many colour
possibilities for this month's mood board & challenge!

I actually started with a softly patterned paper from Inkido
for my base, but I was loving my misting so much that I got
carried away & ended up covering most of the design,
except along the edges which I masked off.

I used a couple of blue patterned papers to layer around my page,
both from Inkido too of course.  Then I embellished with some
bling, some rub-ons, flowers & glittered up chipboard.

I used the chipboard heart negative {the part that surrounds
the heart shape} that many people simply discard into
the rubbish.  I glittered it up then I placed Inkido
bling within the centre of it.

I scattered some more bling all around my page
 {champagne bling available HERE} - this shade
is very flexible because you can dye the pearls to
any other colour using alcohol ink first if you like.

I used some of my favourite Inkido Cherry Blossom flowers
& heart stickpins once again.  I hope you can play along
with us this month in our mood board challenge!

Inkido March Challenge !

Hello everyone !

March has begun, with a new challenge! You have obviously noticed that what is expected of you here is to use at least  one or more rhinestones on your projects! Pictures of our new moodboard are very representative. But our moodboard is here to provide you some inspiration, perhaps you will find your inspiration with our colors? it is also possible!

Here is my page!

I also love the rhinestones! I am inspired by these rhinestones. I built my page with my papers and oncemade my layout, I just added a group of embellishments with in the heart  a large group of  rhinestones. I added a Inkido flower  which is made with beads and some glitter. It seemed to me that this flower was perfect for our challenge! We find here with this kind of flower some shine  and elegance !

Here is also another use  of rhinestones on your  projects : Cut your photo into round, oval, or  with a particular die, and stick on the edges some  rhinestones, it has a very nice effect and enhances the picture at the same time.

You still have plenty of time to participate in our challenge and have a chance to win a lot of Papercraftscandinavia collection! I hope that today you will find how to use our moodboard, and I'm sure you also have other ideas, I remind you, you can also use our colors! I can't wait to see your new projects. Thank you very much for coming to visit us, now it's up to you !

Dreamer by Karita

Hello everyone,
Karita here and today I would like to share a new layout with you. I made this layout by following a wonderful mood board from Inkido´s March Challenge.

And here´s my layout.

I decided to make this layout of myself. I was born in February so my birthday gemstone is Amethyst and I thought this beautiful Tuva Purple Orchid from Autumn Wardrope collection was perfect for my layout.

At first I´ve added some gesso and used mask and modelling paste. Then some purple and black mists and washi tapes. Also some stamping and I used Quirk stamp by Inkido. Few heart pins and brown rhinestones also from Inkido. and some flowers and other decorations.

Thank you for looking!
Wishing you a lovely day!
Hugs, Karita
