Me and my dog and a card

Today I´m back again!  I will try to inspire you all with my work using all pretty supplies from Inkido. Last weekend I attended a class for Ania aka Finnabair Dabrowska and now I feeling very inspired! On my layout I have used some of her style but in my own way.

I just love this photo of me and my dog! I took it a cold winterday 121212. I started to distress and ink all edges. Then I used my sewing machine. After some Gesso I stamped in black, brown and pink.

Jag gillar att ändra på saker så jag får dem lite mer personliga på mina layouter. Här drog jag bort mitten på de rosa Gardeniorna och fäste en Cherry Blossom som mitt istället.

I like create custom made things on my pages. It gives them a nice personal toutch. I removed the middle on the Gardenia and added a Cherry blossom instead.

Layers of different stamps in different colors!

For my project I used:

I also have a card to show you today. I love the red currant in the basket!
No decorations besides all the layers and stitches were needed here.

Hugs from Ulrika/LillBlomman!

Dreams

Hi there! This is Anupama with a new project
...my first ever journal cover!
I made this over the weekend for a dear friend.

How did I do my background paper?
Simple!
I chose the Butterflies Borders from the Beautiful Memories
collection of papers.
It has gorgeous motifs of birds, butterflies and anemones on one side and beautiful script on the other side.

I mod-podged scraps of this paper onto cardstock.
If you do not own a branded water-based sealant like the one I have used, there are any number of recipes for homemade ones on the internet. Just google and have fun creating your own!

The trick is do this quickly without much thought to achieve a random look.
Once done, you have your own unique patterned paper which can be used for art journaling, cards and tags.

A few close-ups -

The Blue Angels 12x12 paper is my favorite and it lends well to any kind of project.
Gesso + Distress Stain + Glimmer mists on Inkido lace

Hope this project inspires you to try something you have never done before.
Happy Scrapping!

Lovely GD Iris Babao Uy!

Hi!
It's Bellaidea today with one of my favorite scrappy friends, Iris!
I invited Iris to GD for us some time ago and I was very happy she wanted to do it.

I am a scrapper from The Philippines, a wife and a mother to two sweet girls Nicole and Cheska. I rarely plan my pages – I let a photo or a patterned paper inspire me and I take it from there. I love the shabby chic and romantic style but I also enjoy working with bold patterns and striking colors. I’m an ink and paint type of person. I just have to get it a little messy to consider my page done. If I don’t have ink and paint on hand, then I just tear little bits of elements and stick it randomly for the sheer fun of it
I am fortunate to be designing for Webster’s Pages and Blue Fern Studios. I was also named as one of the first two Prima Masters. I am also currently a designer Aussie Scrapsource (wholesale store) and The Color Room challenge blog. I am also an endorsed teacher for both Webster’s Pages and BasicGrey. I teach workshops both in Asia and Europe. My work can be seen in craft books as well as craft magazines such as Creating Keepsakes and the like.
I may be reached through iris_sparkup@yahoo.com.

I think she liked GD parcel a lot because after short time I got this beautiful layout from her.

Her second layout is all about her  little girl, Cheska .
Inkido stamps and flowers are just perfect there!

I know you will wonder what Iris used on her pages :).

Vintage Canvas - Two and Three

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here today to continue with my mini vintage canvas set.   The first vintage canvas can be found here. Today, I show you Canvas Two and Three in my set.

Vintage Canvas Two
Here is my second project for Inkido - it's actually a continuation of a canvas set I created using the new collection, Inkido Beautiful Memories Collection.    This post shows number two and three to complete the mini canvas set.

These all started off as white canvas, but after adding a layer of gesso, and some ink around the edges, it started to take shape as the vintage style piece I had envisioned.

The top decorative piece is a Christmas ornament that I bought from clearance.

I used the Inkido Beautiful Memories Collection, Beige Flowers paper as my inspiration for colors and style. It was really hard to pick with tag to use form the beautiful  Beige Flowers paper, because they are all so pretty.

In the photo below, you can see that I embellished the Inkido tag by adding some mini floral berries and  some flowers cut from the Inkido Butterflies and Borders

I used the Copper Metal Ornament and cut it in half to use as a vase.  I rubbed a little gold leaf wax over it to give it a nice rich golden glow to match my canvas topper.  I also wanted  to bring out the gold tones in the paper.  I wove some gold fibers around the piece to jazz it up a bit.

Look at these gorgeous butterflies and borders?  This is the Butterflies  Borders.

Here are some of the other wonderful Inkido pieces I used.

Vintage Canvas Three
This is the third Canvas of the set.

Here are some of the wonderful Inkido products I used on this canvas:

I also used some little bronze Inkido butterfly charms and rubbed them with Rub N' Buff - Gold leaf, then topped with Inkido  rhinestones with Rub N Buff on them.
