Tag in a lay-out

Today,  I want to showcase two artworks in one project.  A tag and a lay-out.  I made a tag using Inkido stamps and incorporated the tag in my lay-out as an embellishment.

I used forever summer as a background paper and a piece of Forever Santa paper.  The sparrow is a fussy cutting from last year's Autumn paper.
Have a great week ahead!!!  Its just 6 days before Christmas!

Advance Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Christmas Gift idea

Christmas is just around the corner and as crafters,  we love giving handmade gifts.

Here's a simple gift idea to hold some goodies for christmas.  Something made from a recycled bottle using Inkido blooms and trims and metal embellishment.  I made the tassel from DMC floss to add from shabby look to the bottle.

Thanks for the visit and hope I inspired you to make a gorgeous gift from available materials at home.

A box for threads

By now,  you know I love altering and recycling stuffs. I found this box in our office and ready to be thrown away.  Of course, I have to save it and I know exactly what I am going to do with it.  With the vintage image and some inkido scraps,  I altered the box for my threads.   Now,  it houses my crochet flowers and crochet threads.
 a cluster of inkido blooms,

Hope I inspired you today.  So, remember,  before you throw anything out,  look within it and you may turn it into a lovely piece of art and treasure.

Trash to Treasure

Turning trash to treasure is one of my favorites.
From peanut butter bottle to an artsy canister to hold my inkido blooms.
Using inkido trims, blooms and metal embellishments from Kort og Godt.  Its also great gift idea to hold any trinkets.

Have a great week ahead!

All Smile

My youngest nephew just turned 1 last April and he is growing up way too fast.  He loved to smile for the camera and even if when  he is irritated and  he sees a camera on him,  he will flash his sweetest smile.

a close up on the handmade flowers using the inkido papers with the inkido blooms and metal embellishment:

I used a scallop puncher and cut a slit to make the flowers.  I just added button and thread to finish it.

Thanks for visiting!

Sharing some of my old favorites of Inkido!  I really love mixing different collections to get the perfect color combination.  And this time  blue and brown for an all out boy page.  Here's my youngest nephew and his dad.  An early Father's day tribute to my brother in law!
Supplies: Ladybug, Inkido - Dreams Star Beige, Autumn papers, Forever (butterfly), christmas (tags)

Sweet

"Sweets for my sweets, sugar for my honey"

The papers "Forever" and "Is this love?"  is perfect for my sister's photo with her husband.   The addition of the music paper from the Christmas line added more romantic feel to the group.  This only proves that all collection of Inkido are perfect for one another.

Have a nice day!

Vintage and classy

The Forever and Rosehage papers are so gorgeous for some vintage and shabby chic lay-outs.  I know  I always make boy lay-outs and playing with inkido products was really a real break from the boys in my life.  The crochet inserted in the photo  is made by yours truly.   I love to collage the stamps too,  like what I did with the butterfly and music notes.

Altered bag

I love to recyle stuff and turn them from trash to treasure.   Here's an altered gift bag.  Its an old gift bag I got last Christmas  and since I love to keep them recycling,  I altered it using Inkido patterned papers and vintage image.

Here's a close up on the cluster of embellishments. The epoxy heart is a handmade embellishment using a tool from Epiphany crafts.

Have a nice day and I hope all you mothers had a great day yesterday during our special day.  Happy mother's day!

Birthday Card

The new Forever line of Inkido is truly captivating.   I just loved the soft pink colors not only because its my favorite color.  here's my birthday card using the gorgeous papers, flowers and the heart pin which is not visible in the photo.  The stamp is inkido too and heat embossed.

Butterflies and roses

The new released patterned papers are so gorgeous and fun to play with.  For my first project with the Rosehange line, I made two cards.
I loved the mixed of roses and butterflies.

For the first card, I used the stamp "bladslinga" and colored it with copic.

I decided to make the second card simple and elegant.  The paper roses   add a perfect finish to both cards.

I will be sending both cards for the scrapbooking auction for Japan.

Have a nice day and say a little prayer for Japan.  Thanks.

Layers

One of my favorite scrapbooking technique is layering.  I love to layer patterned papers and embellishments for texture.
In this lay-out,  I layered the patterned papers and layered my star embellishments.
Materials: Inkido autumn papers, corugated stars, designer pins, metal embellishment,
pearls and post card stamp.
for the smaller star,  I added some mixed media for added texture and star pins and butterfly for the bigger star.

Hope I inspired you today with my lay-out.   Have a nice day!

You Dazzle Me

For today, I am sharing a lay-out and a card from the same patterned papers.   I am a thrifty and frugal scrapbooker  and I make sure that little bits and pieces of patterned paper are used properly.   In my lay-out,  I have tricked you that I have used a huge part of my patterned paper  when in fact the two layers were just 2inches  strips of paper.

I birdcage diecut is painted with rangers paint and brushed with stickles.  From afar you can see the texture already and loved the contrast of the orange blooms from  Inkido.

here it is up close:

And the card, using the scraps from the lay-out: I added the background patterned paper to make as the card.
Loved this vintage image!  (sorry for the poor photo,  its been raining a lot here in the Philippines these days!)

Thanks for the visit!  Have a nice day!
